UP Undergraduate Tutoring

In addition to the tutoring services provided by Penn State Learning, the following tutoring services are available at University Park:

Learning Assistants (LAs) are peers that serve to facilitate collaborative active learning exercises both in class and during out-of-class problem solving sessions.  Learning Assistants work as a team with the faculty to help solidify student learning. See your course’s Canvas page for LA office hours.

IST Peer Tutoring Program – College of Information Sciences and Technology -The IST Peer Tutoring Program is a centralized academic support resource for students in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State. 

Physics Resource Center

The Physics Resource Center, located in 215 Osmond Lab, is a walk-in lab staffed by as many as 6-8 Physics graduate students. Students from PHYS 001, 211, 212, 213, 214, 250, and 251 can receive assistance during operating hours (6:00-8:00 pm Sun. - Thurs. nights). TA office hours are per course and found on Canvas.

The Ryan Family Student Center provides writing, math, and physics tutoring through the College of Earth and Mineral Science.
