GSG Employment - Fall 2017

We currently do not have any positions open for the fall semester.  Please check back in mid-November to inquire about Spring 2018 openings.  Thank you for your interest in becoming a Guided Study Groups leader.

Guided Study Groups (GSG) are offered for a select number of courses on the University Park campus.  Several of the GSG courses are high enrollment and are taken by first- and second-year students.  GSG leaders are hired to provide out of class academic support for those who wish to meet their peers and study in a safe and welcoming learning environment.

GSG leaders are undergraduate students who have previously taken and met success in the course. The leaders are trained to host/facilitate two or three free study sessions each week throughout the semester and will help you master the course content through problem-solving, collaborative learning and study skills strategies.  Also, the GSG leaders attend your course lectures to remain current with the material and experience the class just as you do.  Although your GSG leader may not attend your specific lecture time you are welcome to attend the sessions and you can attend as often as you’d like.  Bring your questions and be prepared to work in a group environment.

Free GSG study sessions are available weekly for several courses in the following subject areas:
