How can math tutoring help me?

Worried about succeeding in college-level math classes or want to master the subject, there is a place for you in our math learning community. If you want an “A”, you're not alone. Our math tutors can,
  1. answer questions
  2. review material for quizzes and tests
  3. provide test preparation and test taking tips
  4. establish short and long term study goals
  5. review exams from the previous semesters
Our math tutors have taken many of the math courses, and they can help you with your homework assignments and with using graphics calculators. We also have copies of old exams and review sheets for future exams on reserve for your use. *Must have a valid student I.D. to check out materials on reserve.

How can I meet with a math tutor?
Math tutors are available on a drop-in basis which means all you need to do is show up during the above hours and a tutor will be waiting to assist you individually or in a small group. Math tutors do not provide tutoring for classes beyond Math 251. For help with these courses, visit the Math Department website's "Private Tutor Lists".

Has it been a while since your last math class?
Many people have difficulty removing their reliance on a calculator.  You may also be out of practice with fractions, decimals and percentages.  Here is a short list of free websites to sharpen your skills:
